As far as being in a dark place,thats where I am 24/7 and I use chat as a distraction.

I recall when i first joined..I was ignored.
This happens on every site I have gone to that has a rather tight knit group,so I don't really think much about it.
This sort of thing happens,and we all need to remember that we were once "the new kid" too.

Very good post,and I think the mods are doing a great job,and sometimes(?) a thankless job.
