Preconceived Notions

Be wary of projecting your past onto your present. We react to things today because of our beliefs from our past experiences, including childhood. Forgive your past, and open yourself up to what is really happening today.
Think of young children just starting to learn how to walk. Children have no preconceived notion that they cannot walk on their first few attempts. Imagine what would happen if we said, "Don't try to walk, you will fall". Sounds silly doesn't it?

As adults, though, we often send ourselves failure messages due to our preconceived notions. We don't take advantage of opportunities because we're afraid we won't succeed.

One of the issues that come into play in almost everyone's life is the conscious or unconscious conditioning that we are subject to on a daily or monthly basis. Some of this conditioning that is on a subconscious level is the words we hear from other important people in our lives. Some of these words may sound like this, "Just go back to work, you do not have the education to get a different job. We need the money, so where do you think we can find it if you go back to school?"

We can subject our dearest friends or family to negative thoughts that condition them not to attempt new things without giving it any thought. Instead of looking for way or solutions to change a situation, we are often guilty of seeing only problems for ourselves first.

One thing a lot of us find difficult is to put ourselves into someone else's? shoes that are longing to make more out of their life because to do so may jeopardize our own comfort, or our own sense of well-being.

It's amazing what you can do if you set out without preconceived notions.

When around children be careful, they learn best from example, and learning preconceived notations.  Remember to surround them with beauty, by words actions, and environment.
Because they become what they see.

I have the perfect illustration of your post. A guy who has a physical disability considered me a friend but told me things he should not have. Then he became irate and irrational because of what I knew- I only knew things because he chose to tell me! I just wanted a simple and light platonic relationship. I'm not at all responsible for all the women and parents who hurt him. He's so angry and I never know what part of his life he's going to project onto me next. What do you
make of this? Have you had good experiences here? [email protected]

This is something everyone should remember.
