Going into wheelchair with a lot of hamstring pain

My legs are becoming progressively weaker and I'm pretty sure I will be using a wheelchair in the not distant future. The problem is that I have sometimes pretty severe pain in my hamstrings while sitting. Does anyone else have this, and is there a way to deal with it to make it bearable? My only other option is bed, and that's no option. I've talked to doctors till I'm blue in the face with no result. Looking for advice from people who live it. Thanks
