I think the primary reason these are not placed next to the regular print bibles is there just isn't enough room for multiple copies of the bible at each seat. Most people tend to bring their own.

About 25 years ago I had came up with the same idea and basic design for backpackers. I called it the "Asswiper2000." No Kickstarter back then though.

I think it's probably all or most of the above. My thoughts of it are my wife and I are both disabled and have a healthy sex life, it just took a little extra figuring things out that worked best.
