The thing about your riddle that I find interesting is the that you put God into physical concepts so that you are then able to deny that God can exist.

I think that for me it doesn't matter the age or gender as much as the real understanding of what it is like living with limited mobility and independence.
Five years ago I went from a fairly active retired person enjoying teaching first graders and substituting once in a while at the uni, to 8 months flat on my back then the loss of a leg and several other problems.
The learning to be dependent on others for so much has been a real learning experience.

We have a lot of fun in the chat room.  It is a real great place to meet new friends, get information, and just talk and socialize.

I'm a grandmother that lost her leg a few years back.  I was doing well with my prosthesis until other problems came along.  Now I spend most my time either in my wheelchair or in a recliner.
I keep working on my walking so I don't completely lose it but I'll admit there are a lot of times I get discouraged.

I am female with below the knee amputation.
You didn't say what type of amputation you had.
Most of my problems stem more from other problems relating to the cause of my amputation than the loss of limb.
I had adjusted to the prosthesis fairly well until my other problems started surfacing.
I'm not sure if I would have liked being warned that the problems most likely would arise or not.  They did kind of come as a shock.
Assistive Technology Discussion / Feedback on mobility scooters
« Last post by Mikael on June 26, 2017, 12:22:05 AM »
Hi, I am working on a site that is rapidly growing right now and I would very much like your feedback on it. As a disabled man myself suffering from scoliosis lately I have been having a hard time walking any further than 2 miles and when I was about to purchase my first mobility scooter I got the idea to test ride as many as I could before finally taking the plunge.
So I did and I added them all to my new site that I hope will grow into a large source for people with disabilities to use as a guide while trying to find the right mobility scooter for them. You can read more about it over at
All ideas and criticism are welcome. As long as they are handed out in a nice manor. :)
Best wishes!

(UK only)  which is for people that have a physical condition or a learning difficulty.   I also created a page which is called I have a condition, not a disability! which is for people from around the world that have a physical condition or a learning difficulty.

I've been an amputee for nearly 13 years. It would be nice to be dated by guys who were interested in more than my missing leg. Don't get me wrong because I don't mind a guy being initially attracted to me because I'm one legged, but he has to remember that there's a fine line between this and an obsession. There's far more to any disabled person than a disability. Look beyond the disability and you'll be rewarded.

I've just discovered this site and love it. If anyone would like to contact a 37 year old female amputee then please feel free to get in touch. Would love to hear from other amputee ladies and share problems. Just waiting to hear from you. Oh, and guys are more than welcome as well.

Hey Jimmy I'm 35 too. can't believe I waited so long to find a forum like this.
I was never one to complain, but after twenty some years I decided to finally find some outlet to vent my frustrations about the inadequacy, or total lack thereof, handicapped accessibility in some places.  And I never had a  penpal yeah my names Molly, hope to hear back soon :-)
